Lumberg Connect RJ Series Connectors
Lumberg RJ Series
The Lumberg Connect Registered Jack series has a standardized range of Data connections. This would include RJ9, RJ11, RJ12, RJ45, RJ48.
These, being all crimp connectors, have gold pins used for networking, telecoms and sometimes low voltage lighting control applications. The differences between these registered jacks are the number of positions available on the connector and the number of contacts actually present. The connector will be larger based on the number of positions.
Here are the differences between the RJ connectors:
RJ48: 10P10C = 10 Positon 10 Contact – used in some comms wiring and data environments
RJ45: 8P8C = 8 Position 8 Contact – used in Network wiring including CAT5e and CAT6
RJ12: 6P6C = 6 Position 6 Conductor – used in System phones
RJ11: 6P4C = 6 Position 4 Conductor – used for ADSL, telephone, and modem cables etc.
RJ9/RJ10/RJ22: 4P4C = 4 Postion 4 Conductor – Used for Telephone Handset Cables
The RJ11 and RJ12 have a different number of contacts but are the same size
