Unmanaged switches

Industrial unmanaged switches from Phoenix Contact excel with variable numbers of ports and various designs provide unmanaged switches with a variety of functions,

  • Switches for the DIN rail, in 19-inch format and for wall mounting (IP67)
  • Up to 24 ports with copper, FO, or SFP connection
  • Fast Ethernet and Gigabit switches
  • Flat and slim design
  • Robust metal housings and versions with protective coating (conformal coating)
  • Signal contact for reporting problems with the power supply and link failures
  • Versions with an extended temperature range (-40°C ... +75°C) and redundant power supply
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE) versions with powers of up to 30 W per port
  • Data prioritization for automation protocols (Quality of Service)
  • Versions with industry-specific approvals

EtherNet/IP™ switches

The managed switches in the 7000 series are Industrial Ethernet switches that are optimized for use in EtherNet/IP™ applications.

  • Fast Ethernet switches and Gigabit switches
  • Extended temperature range: -40°C ... +70°C
  • DIN rail mounting
  • DLR redundancy for an almost bump-frees switch-over (<3 ms) in the event of media failure
  • IGMP support for intelligent filtering of multicast packets
  • CIP for easy configuration and diagnostics from the control system
  • Faceplate visualization for user-friendly diagnostics and configuration in the field

PROFINET switches

With an integrated PROFINET device, the 2200, 2300, SMCS, and GHS series PROFINET switches are ideal for use in PROFINET class B networks.

  • MRP redundancy for fast switch-over within 200 ms
  • Fast device replacement and network topology monitoring with LLDP
  • Integration into the engineering: Complete configuration and diagnostics from the PROFINET controller

IRT managed Ethernet switches provide the ideal scope of functions for PROFINET class C networks.

  • Fast Ethernet switches
  • Temperature range: -25°C ... +60°C
  • DIN rail mounting (IP20) and wall mounting (IP67)
  • Integrated ERTEC technology for PROFINET applications
  • Prioritized PROFINET data transmission
  • Diagnostics for FO paths
