Phoenix Contact Modular Rectangular Connectors

Phoenix Modular 3          Phoenix Modular 1          Phoenix Modular 2

Phoenix rectangular connectors for signals, Data, and power, guarantees maximum reliability even under extreme conditions. The Pulscon device connector system presents compact connections transmitting currents up to 70 Amps and Voltages up to 630V in devices and terminal boxes. The foundation of the program is made up of modular contact inserts with screw and PCB connection, in addition to fixed contact inserts with crimp connection for turned and punched contacts. This product range allows signal, power and data transmission to be combined in a single connector. There are different options to select for the device side and you can choose screw, crimp, or direct PCB connection. For data transmission there is fiber optics available.
Configuration for modular contact inserts allows power, signal and data to be combined in any way in just one connector. Select the corresponding size according to the number of modules. The modules can simply be joined together and then inserted in the appropriate frame - and that's it!
The rectangular series also offer Hybrid connectors for direct motor connection which incorporates signal and power in the same housing. There is a push in spring which makes connecting the two cables to the contact insert very simple.
It is quick and easy to establish a safe connection between the connector and the motor even under challenging installation conditions, via a vibration-resistant locking latch. Thus saving a considerable amount of time, particularly during servicing and thanks to the plug-in star-delta bridge, you no longer have to pre-set the drives.
In this range of Phoenix rectangular connectors, just about everything is possible from colour versions to special printing up to special packaging – even completely new developments.
These connectors have a high degree of protection and are suitable for harsh environment having up to IP69K rating. The specially-adapted housing systems for all pin connector patterns offer high immunity to interference. There is also the option of having plastic of die-cast aluminium sleeve housings which is mounted on the housing wall with two locking screws which is easily accessible and a space saver.
There is also the full range of accessories, such as cable glands, adaptor plates, protective covers and tools. In machine building, electrical engineering and MCR technology, full and half cable glands cover a large area in those applications.

The connectors consist of the following:-

  •  Pre-assembled contact insert sets - Complete sets consisting of: frame, fixing screws, pre-assembled modules, and coding profiles
  •  High-position contact carriers - Pin and socket contact carriers for turned and rolled crimp contacts for applications with up to 65 positions
  •  Modular structure - Easy combination of power, signal, and fiber optics in one connector
  •  Four sizes - Widths from 32.4 mm to 77.4 mm with two to five module slots
  •  Different Cable outlets - Sleeve housings with angled and straight cable outlet make mounting easy
  •  Various materials - Sleeve housing made of plastic and die-cast aluminium panel mounting base and coupling housing made of die-cast zinc for a range of applications.

Device Connection

  • PCB Connection - Contact inserts with PCB connection for parallel or perpendicular arrangements of the PCB to the device pane
  • Screw and crimp connection - Contact inserts with screw and crimp connection for connecting device
  • Panel mounting base and coupling housing - For plug-in cabling directly on the device panel or free-hanging connections
