MACH 4000 Managed Switches
The Hirschmann MACH4000 series is designed for the specific requirements of the industrial automation industry. Having really high dependability under extreme conditions as well as also having long term reliability and flexibility they meet the relevant industry standards. The MACH4000 is a series of gigabit backbone switches and routers that support static and dynamic routing, unicast and multicast routing and router redundancy. It supports between 24GE to 48 GE ports and up to 3x10GE ports which ensures quick switching in industrial Ethernet applications.Extremely fast switching is needed for convergent networks and thus industrial Ethernet has become more important in factory and process automation. The MACH4000 series can be used in all networks where large bandwidth and versatile routing functions are required. Capable of seamless integration into PROFINET and EtherNet/IP environments. It’s required for convergent networks especially in combinations of voice, data and video via HIPER-Ring. Application flexibility, owing to hot-swappable media modules (including efficient powering of devices via PoE). Five different versions with high Gigabit Ethernet port density (10/100/1000 BASE-TX) and – depending on the individual model – additional 10 Gigabit interfaces (10000 BASE-FX). The MACH4000 switches are ideally suited for power transmission and distribution, wind farms and solar power plants backbone systems
